A Power Encounter Ministry.......that is the legacy of the Book of Acts
13:4-The two of them, sent on their way by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus. 5When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. John was with them as their helper.
6They traveled through the whole island until they came to Paphos. There they met a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus, 7who was an attendant of the proconsul, Sergius Paulus. The proconsul, an intelligent man, sent for Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the word of God. 8But Elymas the sorcerer (for that is what his name means) opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul from the faith. 9Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked straight at Elymas and said, 10“You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery. Will you never stop perverting the right ways of the Lord?
11Now the hand of the Lord is against you. You are going to be blind, and for a time you will be unable to see the light of the sun.”
Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he groped about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand. 12When the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, for he was amazed at the teaching about the Lord.
You can be prayed up, filled with the Holy Spirit, ready to unleash heaven, get people saved and still be hindered by the plotted targeted warfare of the dark side. It is clear that there are demonized folks and those who serve a dark agenda that seek to harm those who are doing good.
When the apostle Paul sought to do ministry and advance the gospel he was stopped...by satan(1THESS. 2:18) but he stepped back up and God broke through.....he went on doing great ministry. Just planning to do ministry to others can get the dark sides fur up and plot against you....but that's ok! GOD is on the field of ministry with you and is ready to pour through those who know that spiritual warfare is a part of the soul winning mission of Christ. Take a deep read of Acts 13 and see the Hand of God.
If you know your stuff and will not back down it may be that the hand of God may stretch out against opposing radial evil in very demonstrative ways. This will have to occur as it did in the book of Acts. Power Encounters help slam down the dark side, manifest Gods power and then open hearts to Jesus. So never back down and if you have ....get back up now! Memorize Joshua 1:9 study the book of Acts and fight again.....dark powers and those who willfully serve it may get saved (Saul ) or be put down by God Himself.
We all know that a prayerless, powerless, fruitless ministry is the opposite of what the Lord Jesus said He would build. Jesus Christ is building a church(people) that the gates of hell cannot withstand(prevent). So rid yourself of fear and step out into the mission of Christ, it will include the hands on work of Jesus Himself (Mark 16:20), the full Power of the Holy Spirit, Christ's authority expressed, darkness destroyed (1John 3:8) and many people getting saved (healed and delivered). It may also include a needed power encounter, slamming darkness to the ground....and nothing can beat the Hand that does that!
With the massive ramping up of the dark side the arrogance and opposition is felt and can be fierce. It should be expected and prayerfully planned for. We should also expect that God may drop a threatening Saul to his knees to save him or unleash His Hand to bring down an arrogant sorcerer like Elymas. Glory to God who is the Highest
Wow! what a great time in Las Vegas this last weekend. Minister Dante Fortson has done a great work and opened a door for powerful ministry. If you missed the conference I put a link in this newsletter so you can hear about it and get the audio/dvd content. They are already setting and announcing that a Las Vegas number two conference is coming August 2011. I know I will have a lot to say about 2012, the Mayans and how we can see the Hand of God in 2011.....and 2012.
It was awesome to meet you dear folks who came from Connecticut, Michigan, Calf, Arizona, NV and other places. What a privilege it was to talk to you. Christ's love and grace to you.
