Church Arson Probed in Somerset County
MARION, Md.- The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office is looking for the suspects responsible for intentionally setting fire to the John Wesley United Methodist Church on Holland Crossing Road in Marion Station.
The incident occurred at around 12:21 p.m. Monday and was discovered by a church member. According to investigators, unknown suspects broke into the church and lit multiple areas on fire. The church itself was not damaged but the fires caused an estimated $2,000 in damage to the building's contents.
