This is a valuable book, and I would recommend it, though I have several objections: 1) Lockwood goes out of his way to make excuses for Wicca. Why? I have no idea. Wicca is not some benign religion - it is Devil worship in the guise of traditional paganism; 2) Lockwood has bought into the lie of organic evolution, and that warps some of his interpretations of information; 3) Despite the title, only a small section of the book is actually about Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA). Satanic Ritual Abuse is real and it is a thousand times more prevalent than most people think it is. It is everywhere. It is a major threat to our society, and the obnoxious voices out there claiming it is all a myth are complicit in this monstrous atrocity. Don't be ignorant. Admit the truth and wake up to the reality of our awful situation.

I really enjoyed reading this book its stocked with tons of information and could have easily been divided into multiple books, written in short synoptic form. The book contains some of the best S.R.A. descriptions Ive read, youll learn a lot about Psychiatry as well. The only draw back I found is when talking about new immigrants and their religious sacrifices he fails to mention they are legal due to Jewish kosher laws and claims Wicca is healing and earth based and not Satanic, other than that the Author covers Prostitution which is Nazi mind control also used by the Mob and gangs, he also goes over Structured MPD and Reactive MPD,he even covers Dr.Schiele who was exposing SRA and was found hanged in his house, he talks about the "Locus Coeruleus" the part of the brain that responds to repetitive sound (think popular music),he goes over the making of Zombies in Haitian culture,Marxism's buzz words as triggers (witch hunt, the masses, white racists, hate group etc),covers Pedophiles through out history, the Psychoanalysis scam by elitists, childhood development sense of self and sense of self with others interrupted with trauma disturbing Explicit memory and Implicit memory, you may not have memory of a trauma but Physiologically through Implicit memory your body will, fear and trauma release Nitrous Oxide a memory inhibitor, youll find out how important you Hippocampus part of the brain is, he covers PTSD (anxiety)vs MPD (dissociative),and post traumatic plays as you can tell this book is packed with great information.

This is an obtuse look at the arcane in a nebulous manner. 'Tis hard to tell what is the basic point the author attempts to make. Perhaps the idea is that ritual abuse is documented historically, and is therefore plausible, although extensive and objective evaluation has not found credible evidence of it. Certainly not in the last 3 decades in the United States
Very few books do I toss, I normally pass them on. This is a tosser.

Knowing what people have done in the past can be helpful in understanding what they are capable of doing in the present. Saying "it can't happen here" is harder to do when you know that it has already happened somewhere else. In this book, Craig Lockwood presents a historical view of human behavior in regard to the occult and its part in society, organized groups and religion. Then he applies this information to present-day reports of ritual abuse, along with brief chapters on multiple personality and the science of memory, and lets readers draw their own conclusions. Chapter 18 on the Politics of Denial goes into the human practice of denying the truth to protect other agendas. Included after Notes and References is a List of Prosecutions in which ritual abuse was involved.
Not for the casual reader, this book gives a valuable historical background for the serious study of modern organized ritual abuse and the technology of control of the many by the few.
