WOMEN AT THE WELL EXCHANGE THE LIE!

In a fallen world where dreams are crushed, bodies are piled, minds are tormented and hearts torn....... a part of us hides within. We hide the pain within, it becomes an old friend who annoys and keeps telling us .............your broken.

Episodes and events of life leave us shredded and faded, yet we claim we don't need fixing. We push it all down.

We remember our pain in the quite, we decide how we will protect ourselves and not let anyone in there. When its time, we bury it again wipe the tears from our eyes and fix a grin.

I'm not broken we tell the world, don't fix me because I know you can't. There's nothing wrong with me, at least that's what we tell others. But inside our brokenness sings another song, it sings so low only we can hear it. At least it seems that way.

O' we hear it over and over again when our buried self is triggered by new pain.

Can't some one help me?

Talking to yourself within occurs but talk doesn't wash away the song.........I am broken and I really want someone to fix me plays till somthing deeper occurs.

There was a women at a well tired and broken, her song begins again. The song within was skipping like a cheap record..........

'' 5 men and now a 6th.... where is love?''

Here I am again at the well where its quite, where my pain within can look at me and sing why. I can lie to myself and say I don't need fixed I'm not broken but its an old song that doesn't sooth anymore. I don't have the answers but I will rest here till I bury the song.

What well do you sit by? Is it work or the long drive home? Maybe its in the night!

Some people don't want to hear themselves or that part of them that sings of soul sorrow anymore. Cover it with alcohol, drugs or more voices from the outside. Busyness preoccupies but the song of sorrow still squeeks on the inside. Till it's watered.

The women at the well represents so many people. We are out there seeking to refresh ourselves in the daily tasks. We hold within the pain, confusion and secrets. Surviving is half the work in our work. Day in and day out we do it again, inside the our song is playing though. Its all the same! Like my little bent over grandma said to me

''I don't believe in hell because were living in it right now.''

Was the women at the well living in a relationship hell? Did she seek the refreshing water while she mused over her fears? Did the natural water quench her thirsty song of sorrow?

If we have been burnt by the firnges of hell and smell the smoke of that hopeless place then why don't we realize that there is another side? Even though some don't seek hope, it can come alongside out of nowhere and sit right in front of us waiting to engage us. To pour into us something that will last forever.

Women at the well encounters another man, well at least he looked like one and talked as one but....................... He was far more that her tired eyes could see.

Jesus Talks With a Samaritan Woman

4Now he had to go through Samaria. 5So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. 6Jacob's well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.

7When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, "Will you give me a drink?" 8(His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)

9The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.[a])

10Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water."

11"Sir," the woman said, "you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?"

13Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

15The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water so that I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water."

16He told her, "Go, call your husband and come back."

17"I have no husband," she replied.

Jesus said to her, "You are right when you say you have no husband. 18The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true."

19"Sir," the woman said, "I can see that you are a prophet. 20Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem."

21Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

25The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us."

26Then Jesus declared, "I who speak to you am he."

This one came from Heaven...............He holds life, death, heaven, destiny and all the answers. He has something that her tired eyes and grife glazed mind could not concieve.

When Jesus said

''but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.''

He's talking about what so many wish for but have lost hope in finding. I think the women at the well had no hope, none!.......................until Jesus sat there waiting for her. He Knew everything didn't He? He knew what He had and what she needed.

Who can answer the questions, heal the heart, cast the darkness away? Who can lead us to heaven, change our core nature and infuse us with the living presence of God? Who can touch us with a love that can not be gotten from the natural scraps of life? Who please tell me can wash the wrong and guilt away forever? Can anyone stop the song of sorrow that I hide within? Who can tell us our value, and show us the end from the beginning? O we want someone who really knows us and will not condem us! I want someone who will truly save me.................who.............O God tell me who?
